So far, so excellent
0 of 1 found this helpful I haven't taken the router through its entire paces, but what I have seen thus far is impressive -- smooth startup, smooth operation, instantaneous stopping of the motor when powered off, plenty of power, and great fit and finish. I bought this over the Milwaukee compact router because of DeWalt's documented longer run time and the power, which I have heard about in review after review. I haven't put a half inch straight bit or a 3/8" roundover bit and really ran it hard, but when I do, I will report back. This seems to have the power to handle it, but in the end you shouldn't try to use it for operations that a compact router is not designed to tackle.

High recommendation
The xl is great for people with broader faces. The fit and finish are of great quality -- not terribly surprising from Oakley. Love the mirrored lens and the color also - very sharp. Would recommend highly.
