I could not remove a 12mm bearing because the collar would collapse under force. A waste of money for something that now has no use.
The metal is soft and has no spring action. Collar would not return to size after spreading (and only spreading a few millimeters). Also the collar would not hold its shape and would collapse into the bearing, so it would not hold its shape on the pull.

commuter tires
This is a great tire at good price (this is my third set). I get around 1500+ miles before I wear out the rear tire (the front tire still will have some life). I have been averaging one or two flats per life of the tires, but I give credit to the tire in consideration of the debries encountered. I am riding a 2009 Fuji Sunfire 1.0 hybrid with fenders and a rear rack. I weight a 175lbs. and usually carry around 8 lbs on the rear rack.
