Saved Me a Few Bob!

Previous garage lock/assembly was quite frankly destroyed by a locksmith I had called after losing my keys. It was central line and spring fastener with a right angled shaft. Using this part enable me to adapt the centre shaft on a more up to date lock and still use most of previous locking system without going to the time, trouble and no doubt expense of having something new fitted.

Seems an ideal replacement...

...for the previous central line fastening on my garage door. Slightly thinner gauge than the cable it replaced it was long enough to fit ‘twice’. If it lasts as long as the previous cable I won’t be in this house if/when it frays next time
