Flawed fixing method
0 of 1 found this helpful The method by which this is fixed is tightening a screw which pushes apart the 2 halves of an internal collar, much like a rawlplug. However all that actually contacts the inside of the handlebar is the leading edge of that collar - so it turns freely and therefore does not hold the position you set it at.
This is a safety concern and actually dangerous - each time I looked down at it, it was showing me a different angle. I could easily have seen no vehicles in the mirror (as it was not facing to my rear as I had set it), and maneouvred dangerously as a result.
I intend wrapping handlebar tape around it to see if that helps, but of course this should not be necessary and I strongly advise against wasting your money on this poorly-designed product.

The tool does the job for which it is designed and the price was good.

Great replacement
Bought this when my original remote's volume down button stopped responding. Other than the 'guide' button being in a different place (and probably a more sensible place for right-handers), it is identical to the original and functions perfectly. That's all I wanted!
