Economical mic intergace
Audio quality for my purposes is perfectly fine...field use in noisy environment, not a studio, and no lab measurements by me - but qualitatively, it allows me to use cardioid pattern mics with a phone and probably plug into a house sound system as the next step.
Only difficulty I'd figuring out which camera app works and what headphones work- does not seem to like TRRS earbuds and the electrical transient from turning power on the Smart Rig II triggers phone camera record mode...so I have to stop and restart recording.
Note these minor problems to figure out are really about the response of the phone and app(s) to this device.
Once figured out, it does what I need at a very low price. Figuring out integration of phone, software & 3rd party hardware is likely to take a little work in any scenario.

NIB Google Pixel 128 GB (1st Gen.)
Haven't figured out what apps drain battery faster than others. Battery life is long some days and discharges surprisingly quickly on others. Just changed from iOS, so probably learning curve (old people problems).
AF Lock seems to have been taken away...Google Lens by default in Android 9 is not a suitable replacement feature by any means. Hopefully there is a 3rd party app.
Best thing is freedom from random spontaneous phone redials I battled with iPhone for a long time.
