Great versatile camera and infrared ability at the flick of a very strong magnet,brilliant
The good thing about this camera apart from the carl zeiss lens is that is if you use a really strong magnet like the ones you can find in old 3 1/2 in ide hard drives and put it under the middle of the bottom of the camera it will turn on the infrared function on with all the aperture and manual operation functions without the limitations of the night shot function,eg only shoot at 30th sec at f 2.8 you can use it in infrared with an infrared filter just like you were taking normal pics,speed,aperture setting freely available,but dont try with the weaker magnets that you can use on the sony V1 camera and you can buy on ebay as it will not work, you need a really strong magnet, Like a magenet out of an old HD,this makes it a really versatile camera,and you dont need to take it apart and fit a switch like they say on some forums, just a super strong magnet and hey presto a 7.1 megapixel camera with the ability to switch to infrared a the flick of a magnet,brilliant,well impressed
