LOVE IT!!!
Beautiful, hefty piece with lots of storage room. I worried that the distressed finish would not be done well, but it is lovely, just like pictured. A top drawer pull broke, but otherwise seems very sturdy. I am very pleased with this cabinet.

Martin, the great philosopher and charmer
I loved this show and ABC went and cancelled it. One of the best, most charming, heartfelt, quirky, deep, funny... just absolutely amazing shows ever- and not just for dog lovers but all pet parents and really anyone capable of feelings. It's quite profound and relatable on many levels. There was rumor of the show being picked up by another outlet, but it's been 2 years, and sadly, still no more Downward Dog.
Missing Martin the dog, I happen to find this book of his haiku, and I couldn't be more pleased with it! The musings are from Martin's point of view, and completely capture the the quintessence of this perspicacious pup- relatably insecure and endearing- as well as the intelligent, funny yet thought-provoking writing of the show that made it so compelling. Also includes some very cute drawings to accompany the poems. The book is short, but sweet!
Even if you never saw the show (you can and should still see it on Amazon Video, but sadly, no DVD box set yet- HINT HINT to the creators...), this is a sweet collections of musings that any dog/pet parent can enjoy, though I think it will have greater meaning to those who are familiar with the show's characters and style.
Anyway, I absolutely love this book! Laughed and even shed a few tears reading it. Will read again and again, and will cherish the time I got to spend getting to know Martin (a real-life rescue dog named Ned from PAWS in Chicago!).
