Good value but qnap software could be better
Good solid starter NAS. I fitted 2Tb drive from approved Qnap list and works fine. Not the quietest thing on the planet, but in fairness that may be the HDD rather than the NAS itself.
Fast enough when mapped as a network drive to a PC. The remote access is a bit clunky and not very fast but I have nothing to compare this with.
Supplied surveillance station software is rubbish. I got fed up with it and now just have my ip cameras ftp video files direct to the NAS when motion is detected using native camera software.
Overall I was happy with the price/performance and can now access all my files from anywhere in the world and relax in the knowledge they are backed up.

Perfect for connecting ps3 controllers wirelessly to PC

Great for lifting engines
Bought to lift 2.5l 6 cylinder engine on and off engine stand. I used a scaffold bar over the ceiling joists of my garage to hang it.
Works great - very little effort required to easily and safely lift and rotate my engine as a 1 man job. Recommended.
