ww2 watchband
according to my grandfather (now 99 years old), this was one of the watchbands available to us in the Canadian army. there was a cheaper version (if you can believe that) that no one wanted and would trade for the good ones. In our army, only the officers were given a watch by the army and we had to bring our own. My grandfather is unique as he was in the army (first) then the navy. as a result, he has memories of both services. He says these canvas bands were not very comfortable to wear and would get changed for leather civilian straps. Historically though, they are the real deal.
