Nice!
Sounds great! I'm building a hi-fi system and buying components for it. I knew that I wanted a single disc CD player. After shopping around on ebay I chose this one because the price was good and it's a JVC. I think CD players were still a little expensive but prices were dropping rapidly in 1992 when this came out. I don't know for sure but I suspect that this was a pricey one. It is also great looking! Not much else to say. If you don't like the sound of MP3s and miss the "cool factor" of having a component hi-fi system in your home this CD player is perfect!

Ben is the man!
Ben Folds writes amazing songs. His lyrics can be hilarious, angry, tender and thoughtful. He knows how to tell a story. This is just half of the picture. In my opinion Ben Folds is the best rock piano player of all time. He plays piano with all of the attitude of a rock guitarist when he wants to. He always plays interesting piano parts in his songs and his ability to play these parts and sing something completely different at the same time is remarkable. Ben aways sounds great but he sounds best with Ben Folds Five. When you listen to the Sound of the Life of the Mind it sounds as if the band never parted ways. No drummer or bassist understands how to play Ben's music better than Darren Jessee or Robert Sledge. The telepathic musical chemistry between these three is unmatched.

I Love This Record!!
One of my favorite albums! A great collection of well written songs produced with interesting layers of sound. The best solo record of anyone in The Band!
