The seller took great care in packaging the item, which was great because even though there was tape that said FRAGILE all over the box, it arrived like UPS punted it to my door from the street. But thanks to the extreme care the seller took in packaging it, my long sought after Tori Amos bootlegs survived shipping. I would also like to add that this was sold at a very reasonable price. Very good quality remaster on 180 gram vinyl.
Excellent 180gram remastered vinyl album. This particular version was overseen by Chris Bellman who works at the famous Bernie Grundman mastering studio and sounds arguably better than the original mint pressing.
Played on my Rega P7 it sounds very dynamic clear and powerful but as always I recommend a thorough wet immersion spin clean beforehand to remove any residual manufacturing grime, dirt and dust.
I do this with all my new albums as quality control of vinyl albums at 95% of plants is now a massive issue. It's not like it was in the 70s folks. You have to clean them thoroughly to ensure optimum playback quality.

Audiophile copy of this truly amazing album
Somehow this album passed me by when it first was released way back in what 1995/96 ? I happen to love the vocals from lead singer Layne Staley, who was from Alice In Chains. This project was a one off whilst the main bands of the group members had down time. You will also see the guitarist was from one of the other main Seattle grunge bands called Pearl Jam, Mike McCready.
Ok you cannot find copies of the original vinyl set for anywhere near decent prices or condition. Hence we have this reissue/ remaster from leading vinyl reissue company Music On Vinyl based in Holland.
The outer cover is truly stunning, thick card very glossy which is a fingerprint magnet but keep it in a protective cover and bingo.
Inside you have two 180 gram slabs of perfectly pressed music. To my ears it sounds truly stunning. But as I have no comparison I cannot say if it's better or not compared to the original.
You also have a few extra tracks on side four where Mark Lannegan of The Screaming Trees took over for the ailing Layne. Both have since passed from this mortal coil along with the bass player. This only leaves the guitarist and drummer I think.
But it's the music that is very impressive. A mixture of hard rock, folk, grunge and prog. Yes odd, but it works because of Layne' s stunning vocal work. All written and recorded within a couple of weeks max, yes really.
If you like rock music then get your hands on this version whilst copies still exist. It is always a limited issue record due to the licencing nature of how MOV operate.
