What do people remember about Ned's Atomic Dustbin? The bad clothes? Jonn Penney's lopsided haircut? The fact they had TWO bassists?
That stuff is irrelevant. Ned's were great at writing catchy, thumping punk-pop. Right from the storming opener of 'Kill Your Television' to the stinging charge of 'Until You Find Out' it's a joyous rush of record.
There are a couple of less enthralling moments – I'd skip closer 'What Gives My Son?' and simply play the whole album again. And with plenty of other bouncy, zesty tunes like the outstanding 'Grey Cell Green' and Jonn Penney's witty lyrics ('If you will fly off the handle wait 'til I'm not there') God Fodder will be on repeat for some time.
