Not sure but it's ok
So I got this at a great price. If your child isn't picky about passis it's great my daughter is super picky so I would have to be very careful on timing to take her temp especially when she's sick and moody. She wouldn't take it for me when I first got it Cuz she has a cold but I know she's not running a temp so I didn't force it. I tried it on myself just to make sure it works and it does. It just doesn't read fast. Takes about it minute of constant to read it
