Great for vocals and acoustic instruments

I had the chance to borrow one of these for a week and liked it so much I ended up buying a second-hand one to add to my mic collection. The sound is transparent and fairly balanced across the whole frequency spectrum with a slight peak around 6k which adds a bit of presence and sparkle- but there's plenty of low-end warmth too. I've used it a lot for vocals- it gives a nice upfront presence that comes through in the mix without needing too much EQ, especially with female singers, and for acoustic instruments it really shines. A great mic for the price (especially if you can pick one up second hand)
