About us
Our Charity Bookstall was started in Sept 2000 by one of our Church members with 42 books to help raise funds for our new Pastoral Centre. Over the years it has grown significantly and we now hold a monthly bookstall at our Church, with well over 10,000 books on display which are all categorised, and many sorted into alphabetical order by author. This includes a large Collectors Corner section where we have a wide range of antique books, maps and artwork. The bookstall is run by a loyal group of local volunteers, many of whom have no connection with our Church and every book we sell has been lovingly donated by local residents, many of them being customers. We currently raise £20,000 every year from our face to face and online sales, and to-date have raised over £160,000. 80% of the bookstall proceeds go to designated local charities, chosen by our volunteers. Following COVID when the Church was closed to the public, we developed our online sales, and recently set up our Ebay shop
