Proper quality OEM part
I replaced the original 20 year old Lucas relay on my Land Rover Defender with a cheaper pattern part with worked intermittently and wiped 5 times when washing the windscreen (rather than 3 times) which strains the wipers as it's wiping a dry windscreen! Have reverted to this OEM part which works perfectly. More expensive but better quality.

Proper quality OEM part
The cheaper pattern part belt fitted recently to my Defender has started to perish at 18 months old. This is a much more substantial belt - more expensive but a much better quality part.
