Good humour throughout
Sometimes we need to escape and take stock of our lives and that's what she did, found spiritual contentment in beautiful country but left us wondering for a long-time who she would choose. Nice and slushy

nostalgic read at a great price
I saw the words "Black Country" in the title, read the description & decided to have a nostalgic trip down memory lane, as i was born in the same town as the author.
I could relate to every place she wrote about but also enjoyed the social history of her grandparents, picking bits from coal slags.
Loved the book & would read again
