Lovely, heartwarming film
Bought this as a Christmas present for my brother, so cannot comment specifically on the blu-ray quality, but I decide on this as a gift after watching it with my partner. Really lovely and somewhat surprising story, with a really heart warming message about community and supporting each other. Overall feel not dissimilar to Studio Ghibli films, so any fans will almost certainly like this film.

An absolute gem!

My partner remembers the original films before Lucas started fiddling with them, but he was sure they didn't exist in their altered glory on DVD. A bit of internet research and I was able to find this. Haven't watched the films through yet as this is my partner's Christmas present, but I did give the first film a quick check when the set arrived. The disc does specifically say Theatrical Release, and after whizzing through and stopping in various places there was not a single hint of CGI in sight. Visual quality is pretty dismal, but having done my research I was anticipating this. This is the only unaltered version of the original films currently available so it is the price you pay to not have to endure dodgy 90s CGI sticking out like a sore thumb all over the place!
