Great entertainment
You cannot miss with Doris Day. Two particular favorites included in this package are "Tea For Two" and "Starlift", which is difficult to find.

If you are a fan of music of the 20's and 30's, you need to read these stories
Fantastic review and short bio of the six "crooners" on the cover. As much information as I have on Bing Crosby, I even learned a bit more about him. Nick Lucas and Johnny Marvin, whom I never remember hearing about before, were such compelling reading, I had trouble putting the book down. In fact, I spent several hours on cable TV, and the internet wanting to learn even more about them and actually see them perform. I did know a fair amount Rudy Vallee, but learned so much more. Gene Austin was another eye opener. I knew he had big early hits with "Ramona" and "My Blue Heaven", but there was so much more to learn about him, also. I did find a 1940's western he starred in and watched that for while. Columbo also included information I did not previously know, but his short life did not leave much that was new to learn. The book also includes discographies, and filmographies of each crooner. I was able to get it at a far smaller price than it is usually listed for. Patience is rewarded..
