Was sent a defective guard…
The Fender 4-ply guard had become a 2-ply guard.

Whewww, these things are hot!
I replaced the stock MIA P Bass pickups because I jacked them up during an upgrade to the wiring. The pickups have a "vintage" tone, and coupled with my '62 schematics, they sound beautiful with plenty of bouncy, popping, woody tone coming through my fretless p bass. For the value, I doubt you'll find much better than these!

Sweet, sweet strings.
The tension on the light gauge set is very, very....well, light. They take a few days to get used to, but once you figure these beasts out they sound phenomenal.
