A SHOCKER!!!
A TERRIBLE MESS!!! This boxset contains the notorious 30th Anniversary edition of Night of the Living Dead, which is a truly SHOCKING film for all the wrong reasons. Firstly, a new score has been added to the original 1968 movie which is too electronic & modern, it is also very, very annoying & it does not work with the movie. The picture quality is good, but the infamous 'new' 15 minutes of footage (unrelated to the original movie) is just RIDICULAS that it makes the movie UNWATCHABLE!!! The scenes with the vicar are so bad that it will probably make you cringe with horror, it is the worst acting you will ever see on film, EVER!!! Unfortunately, the re-editing isn't much better, parts of the movie do look like it skips & some key scenes are either missing or replaced. I haven't watched Dawn of the Dead since I already own the Ultimate 4 disc edition box-set & Day of the Dead wasn't a good film to begin with - it does start & end OK & there are some good (dated) special effects, but it is very, very TALKY for nearly an hour in between & their is just too much negativity & cursing. The characters in the movie are also very, very unpleasant that I ended up rooting for the zombies to eat ALL of them!!! Over-all, this box-set isn't worth buying - the extra's are CRAP & who-ever designed the box-set back cover put the pictures for Dawn & Day the wrong way around. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
The Last of Us Part II (Sony Play Station 4, 2020)

Better than I had expected.
What's good - Excellent graphics, gameplay, character models, exploration, environments, combat, stealth, music, upgrading, & the Joel & Ellie flashback scenes brought a tear to my eye, they were the heart & soul of TLOU. What's not so good - The story, it's depressing & convoluted, Joel's death felt rushed, the pacing was too slow at times (especially with Abby's gameplay), too many cutscenes (sometimes 3 or 4 in a row) & loading, Abby flashbacks with Owen are boring, we really don't get to spend enough in-game real-time to learn to care about these characters in advance, too many "endings", the game could have ended sooner but it went on a bit more, two unnecessary boss fights between Ellie & Abby, just needed the one boss fight at the very end. Overall, it was a good game, ND got so many things right, & I love the whole Last of Us universe, but the fractured relationship between Joel & Ellie felt like I missed a Part 1.5, also, the Bonus features such as turning on Infinite Ammo & Crafting felt odd for a survival horror game, it would have been better if they had put in a "gameplay mode", that allowed you to skip the cutscenes automatically, I would also like if they added the ability to lockpick vehicles for more items & collectables. It took me just over 33hrs (I skipped as many cutscenes as possible) to complete the game, & I found 197 items & collectables. I would rate the game a 7.5 - 8 out of 10.
