Great field recorder!
2 of 2 found this helpful The zoom H4n handy recorder is a great entry-level recording device that is made versatile by its small form factor and user friendly interface. I’ve used the zoom for a number of years, sound designing for small time theater productions and the sort, and by far my preferred method of recording is using this product. The recorder comes with two 1/4” tip-sleeve/XLR combo I put jacks, one for left, one for right. The combo jacks let you record using microphone XLR cables, or line inputs for an amp or other device. The input jacks come with the option of phantom power (+48V/+24V). The built in stereo microphone is not too shabby of an option for on the go recording, and you are able to record four tracks simultaneously. I’m a huge fan of this device and look forward to using it more in the future!
