Great price and features for the amateur photographer
Bought this flash for my Nikon D5000 as the inbuilt flash just doesn't cut it. The original Nikon speedlites are well over $500 so I couldn't justify that for the few times I would need it. I was pleasantly surprised with this flash from the first use. It has enough basic features allowing you to set the shuttle speed, appature, distance to give great pictures. Both inside and outside pictures taken with this flash are 100% better than I've previously taken with the camera's own flash and the inbuilt diffuser and bounce card are a real help. It uses 4 AA batteries and recharge time to flash again is quite sufficient but keep a spare set if you are taking over 50 shots on full power. If you are an amateur photographer like me then this one will really be plenty. Instructions are very basic but the flash is easy enough to work out.
