Dependable and clunky
The Lenovo ThinkPad G40 is a workhorse. It performs dependably. The cost of this dependability is a larger laptop. The ThinkPad is encased in a large plastic shell and the built in mouse is a less than amazing small button joystick in the center of the keyboard. Comparing this laptop to my previous Dell D600, the former was much more of a pleasure to use. The Dell's touchpad, size, and weight were all much better. Also, even though the Lenovo has better specks (2.2 Ghz, 1 Gig Ram vs 1.4 Ghz 512 MB Ram), I'm able to notice no difference in the processing speed when using the laptop. I was forced to replace my Dell because the cheaply made hardware was breaking down. Hopefully the Lenovo will hold up better in the long run. I'm not a huge gamer. My computer usage is for internet, some audio recording/editting, and school.

bright, better tone
1 of 2 found this helpful I was going to sell my MIM strat. It wasn't giving me tone worth keeping it around. Then the nut broke so I had to repair that before selling it. With the tusq in, it sounds two or three steps better. It plays well. The nut upgrade really saved this guitar from the second hand market.

Inexpensive, durable, and comfortable cell phone
The LG Cosmos VN250 is a durable and dependable sliding phone. These phones offer fairly average features as far as camera and web browsing capability. The sticking points currently for the cosmos are the price and battery life. These phones have a healthy battery life that in my experience holds charge throughout the week. At around $20, the LG is hard to beat for those of us left that need phones and are not looking to carry small computers around.
