Historically muddles 2 seperate but linked events
An insightful film with believable characters my only criticism was the muddling of the Jewish ghetto uprising with the separate but linked Warsaw uprising. The former occurred historically 1st, and I believe was a long drawn out slaughtering of the remaining Jews in the ghetto over 12 months who fought back against the Nazi butchers. The latter was a communal uprising pretty much the whole population of Warsaw against the Nazi occupation of their country ad despite fierce fighting by the Polish resistance and any remaining Jewish resistance fighters who'd escaped the Jewish ghetto - was over in about 3 months with huge slaughter of the Warsaw population. Sadly film didn't out the despicable behavior of the allies in their limp wrist support of the Warsaw uprising with a few token air drops of weapons and supplies - fair few of which fell in the Nazi occupied territory - but then its Hollywood and the allies are the good guy's which they were - but they could have been better and if better allies support had been forthcoming uprising may have succeeded?
