A great value kit of an unusual battleship
Whilst on holiday recently in North Wales I bought, built and painted a Revell 1:1200 scale kit of the battleship Roma. Having not built a kit recently I really enjoyed the process of building it. After my holiday I thought about building a battleship in a larger scale and I came across the Trumpeter 1:700 scale of the French Battleship Jean Bart on Ebay, which I bought. Receiving the kit today I was most impressed by the multitude of parts but also their durability. The option of building the kit as either a full hull or waterline model is an excellent feature. The kit may not have photo etched metal parts, but this will make the construction of the kit far easier. This kit will provide many hours of enjoyment as I gradually build and paint the model. Top marks to Trumpeter in providing a kit of an unusual battleship. I will be soon buying a book on French Battleships to complement the model I am building. Building this model will fire my interest in knowing more about the real life battleship and the men who served on her.
