Leica Lens does it again!!

This is my second Panasonic Lumix with a Leica lens. The TZ4 was bought to update my TZ1 which has been fantastic but slightly large / heavy for 'putting in a pocket'. Having used SLRs in the 35mm era I can honestly say I have been delighted with the results from the Panasonics and they represent tremendous value second hand. Don't worry about the megapixals as such because the big Leica lens gives great results!!

Cheap way of improving graphics now that 128/256mb is the norm. Easy enough to fit but be aware that may need a VGA/DVI adaptor. Lots of additional features for the TV/DVD fans out there.

Best PVR (so far)

Bought this for she who will be obeyed as I got fed up of complaints about her old Bush PVR dropping recordings. She has two, the Bush and a Hitachi. Initial reactions are that (once again) Panasonic have done it right. The tuner seems exactly the same as my Panasonic Plasma TV (which is great). All the recording functions seem very intuitive i.e. we haven't needed to go into the 100 page manual yet! Picture enhancement (via HDMI) is very good, makes the (already good) Samsung in our kitchen even better. Looks like it will record about 134 hours of programmes, more than enough for her indoors!! Lastly top marks for supplier, Loljack, for a clean unit at a great price!
