A good product at a good price, but with a minor deficiency.
The charger worked fine and my battery was up to snuff in the expected amount of time. However, there are no green or red lights telling you when the charging process is finished. this is important because you don't want to over charge your battery.

Solid Midsize Monster Truck
At $147, the HPI Strada Maverick is well-priced for a mid-sized (16 inch) brushed monster truck. It is built very solidly with eight shocks and appropriately matching springs. The 5 inch tires are soft and the ribbing gives them good traction. These are not top-of-the-line tires, but they do the job and take the car up steep hills and across rough terrain. The balance of the car is low, which is a positive when bouncing around on rough surfaces and small rocks. The stock 1800 mAh battery lasts 15 min. at most, and less when you are driving across rough terrain, especially grass. I purchased a 5000 mAh quality battery and the car runs much longer. It has terrific front and rear bumpers, but unfortunately, they are set inside the shell. They protect the front and rear shocks and springs. The shell is made of a flexible but somewhat heavier weight material and appears to be able to withstand a moderate amount of punishment. I am not a basher so I cannot comment on its ability to withstand that type of impact. The car turns well on a paved surface and appears to go 20 miles an hour or more. The car is almost 12 inches wide and appears to be very stable on the ground or rough surfaces. This vehicle was not designed for high speeds, although a large lipo battery might get it up to 30 miles or more.
The design of the interior of the car is simple and most repairs should be easily accomplished. The battery tray is sized larger than necessary for the original battery, which is a major plus and gives you an opportunity to put in bigger and more powerful batteries. It takes a Tamiya plug, which is a major plus because so many of the non-traxxas batteries are based on the Tamiya. The Maverick has about one and three-quarter inch ground clearance, which is good but not great. The height of the shell is adjustable, another plus for the car. I have driven the car for less than four hours and I'm still struggling with the alignment. The transmitter has two sets of trim controls for both the alignment and the speed control. One significant flaw is that the Maverick sometimes has difficulty going into reverse after it is stopped. At lower speed settings, this is even more noticeable. It might be something that more experience with the controls can eliminate. I gave this car a five-star rating, even though it doesn't quite match up with models that are more expensive. It is thoroughly capable of doing what I voted for, which is to go across rough terrain and drive up steep inclines. It is not a rock climber, but it is able to go over the 3 inch drop off in front of my front door.
Although HPI cars and trucks are used in America, I get the impression that they are more popular in Europe and around the rest of the world. I made sure parts were available before I purchased the truck. It came with a European-style plug for the charger. Fortunately, this was not necessary because it plugged directly into my rapid charger. I bought the car from a gentleman in the Ukraine, who had it delivered to my house within two weeks

Exciting, well-written, fun novel.
Excellent, well-written paranormal spy novel unlike anything I have ever read before. Add a dash of humor, which the television series sadly lacked, and it makes for a great read. The novel is much better than the poorly executed television series.
