Disappointed with the reception.
I bought this to replace my telescopic antenna which was cheap but quite heavy. I'm afraid I'm disappointed with this antenna as the reception is poor compared to my old one. It's marginally better than my Watson W-901, but not enough to make it good value.

Excellent value antenna with impressive reception.
1 of 1 found this helpful I was using a Watson 901 antenna which provided descent reception for military and civil frequencies, saw the STA91 and decided to give it a try.
The STA91 is quite a bit heavier than the flexible antennas and the quality is good. As this antenna has ten sections, you can decide how many sections to extend to give the best reception. The reception using the STA91 is very impressive compared to both the supplied antenna and the Watson used with my Uniden UBC125XLT. I can listen to Coningsby, Marham, Brize Norton, Heathrow and Gatwick, on a good day I can hear Scottish Area Control and Maastrict from Ely (Cambridgeshire).

Good quality and look great on the XJR. ...
Good quality and look great on the XJR. This clutch hose line kit requires one of the grommets transferring from the original hose. The HEL hose is a flexible hose from banjo to banjo, whereas the original seemed to be reinforced adjacent to the frame passing the exhaust headers, so I added additional cable ties just to make sure. You also have to remove the alternator to remove the lower banjo bolt. The hose banjo fittings can also be adjusted without compromising the sealing properties.
