Good device
Mainly use for airsoft, had some doubts initially but everyone at the field was using these, and I was not able to communicate using my old middland gtx.
BATTERY CHARGE- Once fully charged (takes around 6 hours to do so with provided base charger) I left it on to see how long the large battery would last. So far it is taking a little over 48 hours straight with ocasional comms to drain it.
RANGE- Another thing that I was worried about was range. Since these units are rather cheap, I was not expecting much. Measured range with a friend (who has another baofeng but with the long antenna) and communication was good at about 300 meters (900 feet) in an urban area before cutting off. Afterwards we tried them in a rural area and we got (for my surprise) a little over 2 km (1.20+ miles) before breaking off.
BUILD QUALITY- sturdy, strong, seems it can hold up in outdoor activities, but I am not sure about water resistance.
ACCESSORIES- comes with everything needed to use, have heard other owners complain about the stock earpiece quality.
Channel/frequency wise- easy to use once you get the hang of it.
Would recommend 5/5 for outdoor activities

Good Gadget
I live in Costa Rica ( central america), just got the 201 and so far best signal has been up to 9 m. GPS is quite small, smaller than what I had in mind, not an issue but worth mentioning of you like to travel light. Wristband is small also, this might be an issue, would recommend the expansions for this. Without sitting down and actually reading the manual, it is very easy to figure out basic operation- I've never had a GPS device before- so I guess it is a good pick for beginners. Bear in mind this is my first impresion of the GPS, and that I don't have any previous experience with this type of gear.
