Armature for Makita 9403 (516783-7)

Not compatible with Makita 9403 240V

This particular product is listed as "Makita 9403 Armature (516783-7)" but its dimensions differ from the original part and did not fit my Makita 9403 240V. Shaft is too large, original bearings don't fit, fan is lower quality with different fitting diameter, so swapping isn't possible.

Not suitable for auto-powering dust extractor in a workshop

This is a good product for what it was designed for - disconnecting peripheral devices when desktop shuts down. I assumed it could be used to power up my workshop dust extractor when power tool starts, but found it unsuitable due to 5-6 seconds delay between power tool switch on and peripheral socket (dust extractor) being powered up. When you use it with something like mitre saw you are usually done cutting before dust extractor ever comes on.
