A fan of Sennheiser professional audio products a bit disappointed with the musicality.
The sound is not bad at a low level. During a crescendo the response becomes unpleasant. The noise cancellation can not be disabled so that has a negative impact on the sound. It's a bit "hollow" Sound is better when using the cable since the bluetooth and noise cancellation are powered off or in other words it is "passive". Also the pads seem a bit stiff which causes a poor seal. If they would relax and become more pliable the bass response should improve
There is an odd chemical odor. Hopefully it will diminish quickly over time. It is also possible the sound will improve after a break in period, but we don't know that will happen.
Connectivity was easy and reliable. Convenience and freedom of wires is the high selling point.
