Mud, muscle, and miracles: Marine salvage in the United States Navy, Naval, Ship
20 Sep, 2019
Pieces of history
Less of a handbook-reference containing illustrations with ideas for the modern salvor; more of an historical exposition of the U.S. Navy's more notable salvage efforts, dating back to the USS H-3 in 1916 and spanning all the way up to the Space Shuttle CHALLENGER, and revisiting the ironclad USS MONITOR in 1987. The book concludes with technical descriptions of modern Navy salvage ships and equipment (largely unchanged since 1990). Some of the more complex scenarios are described by maps diagrams giving the big-picture. Names, places and dates: a must-read for anyone wanting to know about these efforts in any historical depth.

Theory behind the practice
A clearinghouse for all of the math and relationships that become "rule of thumb" for bulk solids handling. Systematically breaks down each bulk stowage/transport problem into its mechanical engineering elements, and comes at the solution in clear and concise language.

The future is here
Awesome support, yet it feels like everything is out in the breeze! My package looks fantastic (she said). I honestly wish I could return every UnderArmour boxerjock I've ever bought (20+ pairs?) for five (5) pairs of ArmorVent.
