very good usb soldering iron!
I bought this on a whim because of its potentially small size and portability and was quietly surprised by how well it operated,heating up very quickly and dealing with small jobs with ease!
I wouldn't want to try using it on heavy speaker wire as i would think that it does not have the mass to hold enough heat but will handle "normal" wiring happily
It also works from chunky usb battery packs though not smaller 1 or 2 cell packs and works well from the socket out of my imac and a hudl charger
it has a protective end cap similar to a pen lid to protect the tip which will be handy when it gets knocked about in a tool box
the only possible glitch is the stand/rest which is a bit prone to tipping over but the iron cools down in less than 20-25 seconds and goes into standby if not moved or the button is not held after 25 seconds so not an enormous problem
so all in all I am happy and will tell others i know about this item, it is well worth the money
