Lent Course material
Wide range of discussion on possible background to varied happenings described in the Bible accounts about Holy Week, usefully split into five sections relating to the events of that week, describing and analysing interpretations that have been inspired by the writings, with open critique of factual likelihoods.
The questions at the back of the book related to each section are helpful in encouraging open discussion towards deeper understandings of what took place, with special reference to implications for faith today.
We are using the book as a basis for an open Lent Course 2017 for Churches Together in Rye & District.

Specialist product, top quality, especially fit for the special purpose.
It is relatively easy to find copies of the Book of Common Prayer in desk editions, but most of these are old and well used, and perhaps valuable enough to require preservation rather than further use. I purchased this C.U.P desk edition because I needed it for regular use in churches, and I am very pleased with its tough quality and fitness for purpose. The print is exceptionally clear and the binding allows pages to stay open whilst the minister is otherwise engaged. It may even survive to become one of those collectable items for some future enthusiast! R.H.D.
