The Third Man - blu-ray collector's edition
The Third Man is a classic 5* film with beautiful photography, a great soundtrack and a tight, perfect script. It was made in 1949 - not 2015 as review title eBay have given suggests, so dated in some ways, but plenty still to enjoy and admire in others.
However my review is mainly about the edition displayed - which is a 4 disc collector's box with art cards etc. Lovely edition - pricey especially now it is ex-catalogue, but I managed to get it cheap.
I gave only 4 stars as I was expecting it to come with the soundtrack to the film, which you will instantly recognise: it is composed and played by a zither player - Anton Karas. Instead it is a re-recording of the soundtrack by someone else, which seems a strange choice, especially as the original soundtrack is available digitally remastered.
