Good value at around $300--make sure is Gold Edition
2 of 2 found this helpful One of the better 720P machines--very bright and compact, sometimes as sharp as lower end 1080p models. Good, film-like picture on Blu-Ray. Note there are two Epson 500 models--one the Silver Edition [800x600];the other the Gold Edition, also known as the Epson 707, which is 720p.

Sony BDP-N460
Sony quality at a bargain price--flawless picture. Two minor disadvantages: 1] No remote open/close function[you need to be there to install or take disc out anyway!] 2] not wireless-need ethernet cable for streaming

Top quality, if you don't need wireless-incredible price. Has sharp picture-remote open and close. Also bought a Sony-has equal picture and convenience of remote open and close. Very fast and reasonable shipping.
