Richie Furay IN THE COUNTRY (CD) CD NEW

The 'Old Guard' are still producing fantastic music!

I first heard Richie Furay on YouTube a month or so ago, playing a song called 'Your Love Amazes Me', which I absolutely loved. I did some research and found out Richie had been a founding member of Buffalo Springfield and Poco back in the day, two bands I listened a lot to in those days. I subsequently bought the new album and if you're a fan of those two bands, plus bands like the Eagles and American country-rock music in general, you won't be disappointed. This is a great album with some fine playing and lovely harmony vocals. Standout tracks for me are 'Your Love Amazes Me', 'the Marc Cohn song, 'Walking In Memphis' and 'In This Life'. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was, as a musician myself, I was a little disappointed in the production on some of the tracks, however, I'm being very picky! It's great to hear the 'old guard' still producing fantastic music. Definitely recommended for fans of country-rock!
