Great kitchen gadget
1 of 1 found this helpful Does everything is says it does. Blades are really sharp so everything cuts perfectly. I find slicing the vegetables before hand especially the harder ones like carrots helps when using the smaller of the chopping blades. I especially love using this when making soups as all vegetables end up the same size which helps with even cooking and makes it look very professional. So far I’ve used it to cut carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and onions. Swede was a bit too hard on the smaller blade but ok with a few bangs on the bigger one. Washes really easily (mind your fingers though as you could cut yourself very easily). This is my new favourite gadget and I’m going to have so much use out of it.

It really does what it says on the tin!
7 of 7 found this helpful I previously owned an older model which lasted just over four years before crashing and burning. This model is like a Ferrari compared to the older Mini.
I would rate this model 9/10
GOOD Points
40 tweezers that remove the hair quickly and efficiently, my older model would sometimes snap the hairs
No More Fuzz - it removes very short hairs (2mm), so makes this a much better alternative to waxing as hairs have to be alot longer (not a pretty sight in the summer when you want to wear shorts or skirts
Can be used anywhere where there's a plug
Washable head - good for sharing
Hair can stop growing and become finer over time, I have two large areas on each leg that are now hair free
No Stubble, rashes or cuts .... unlike shaving, no smell .... unlike creams
BAD Points
2 pin plug - I was lucky that my husband uses an electric shaver so it saved me buying an adaptor
Would have been great if Braun could have made this rechargable although it does have quite a long power lead
The light - I personnaly think this is a useless feature and doesn't light the area well enough, a well lit room works better for me
Rather Expensive - look for special offers to save some money, a full leg wax in my local salon costs £22, so this little beauty will pay for itself in no time
Although i have pointed out some bad points they are not really that bad, I love my epilator and it would be my dessert island product if electricty was available.
Yes it's gonna hurt, waxing hurts but it's a pain that's totally bearable. My fifteen year old daughter has been using mine for the past 3 years, plus my husband has used it on his chest, so I think it's good for all the family.
A Tip for the Underarm area
Make sure area is clean, hold arm up and straight as far as it can go, you need to make the area quite taught as you don't want to catch any of the delicate skin as this bloody hurts (I've done it only a few times when not really concerntrating).
A Tip for the Bikini Line
As above, make sure area is clean, place one leg on a bed or chair, you may want to hold the skin taught with free hand, for comfort I would suggest that you trim the area first.
