OK but markings could be clearer
The D'Addario gauge is OK but in hindsight I think I would have been better off paying a little more for one that has clearer, more distinct markings. That said, for someone who does not need reading glasses & with good light it probably will be fine.
I was also under the impression that the D'Addario gauge came with more detailed information, hints & instructions but alas no. Maybe they can be found online.

Good quality lightweight steps
No doubt there are better pet steps on the market but most of them much too heavy & bulky. These are very lightweight & store easily away behind my drivers seat. Just the job for someone with a bad back.
Our dog is unfortunately a bit daft & tries to avoid using the steps & to jump up into the boot unaided. I think, though, from the reviews of different steps I have read that this is a problem with a lot of dogs with whatever steps you have, but I am sure that in a week or two he will get the hang of it.
