Almost exact replacement

Looks great, you'll need to cut a fitment notch approximately 32mm wide and the entire depth of the light so it fits in the slot for the BMW 1 series. A light touch with a razor knife works well. This item come with no body gasket, which is required to keep your trunk dry, but that can be obtained from the dealer or other sources if yours has degraded and you cannot reuse it. The original is an LED affair and this particular one functions as the original for about 20% the cost of OEM and 5 minutes of your time to make the notch.
