Steel Fire Pit is handsome

From the photos I had my reservations about the fabrication quality. But when it arrived all fears were allayed. It seems to be solidly built and is a cinch to assemble although getting the tabs the cover sits on to align properly, while tightening is a bit fiddly. The lid handle could have done with being made out of a heat proof material because I can see it will be all too easy for someone to lift the lid with a bare hand, forgetting it's hot, and get burned. Otherwise it is a handsome looking item and extremely good value for money.

Bit of a toy

I'm not sure this stick is going to stay the distance on a 4 day Scottish Highland hike, which is what I bought it for. Having assembled it and tried it out around the home for feel and robustness, I get the feeling this is a 'use once and throw away' effort. You get what you pay for so, for the price, I think it's OK. But I won't be relying on it to support me under duress!
