Ring Video Doorbell 2 and Chime Bundle

Great Smart Doorbell

This has done everything that i needed from it. I get notifications on my phone when someone approaches my door and also when they actually ring. The video quality is great and the lag between activation and notification is minimal. I have paid the £25 for cloud video as without this you lose some functionality but i think it is a small price to pay for knowing exactly who is at your door and being able to refer back to any alerts that become an issue. I am not having any issues with wifi connectivity although my router is probably about 5 meters from the doorbell. The only downside is the battery, the first 3 weeks completely drained the battery, although i was playing with it a lot and now the battery is lasting longer i would be very surprised if you could get the quoted 6 months, realistically i think with basic use you may get 2 months, but it doesn't take too long to charge, overnight should see a full charge. The only other thing i would like to see on a doorbell this expensive are a few more tones for the chime unit, maybe being able to use an MP3 or something of this nature would be a good option. All in all a great piece of kit for home security.
