Newman is the greatest
Should’ve got the Oscar- one could say that about many Newman performances but his performance in this is his greatest. An actor and star at the height of his power. A compelling court room m drama written by David Mamet. Excellent supporting cast and a twist you won’t see coming. The don’t make films like this anymore. But, Newman is sublime

A hidden gem
A film that slipped under the radar. De Niro is very good in this poignant father/son story. Dano equally holds his own. The depiction of homelessness and the work the City does to alleviate the situation is compelling and realistic. It’s really worth a watch- if just to see De Niro back behind the wheel of a taxi.

The greatest TV show ever made.
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this product as I am slowly watching the whole series. The Sopranos is possibly the greatest tv show ever made. each season the series gets richer and more complex. I feel like I live with these characters the time I spend with them. Seeing the actors grow and develop, likewise the writers and the director's is one of the joys of the box set. Being able to watch at my own leisure and not the scheduler's is also a massive plus- though not without its dangers on a week night. One day, this show is gonna end!
