Velbon Statyw EX-MINI

A great little tripod - small, lightweight but well constructed

A very handy portable tripod which fits in my small backpack. Despite its small size and weight this is a quality product and is constructed to the same high standards as full-size Velbon tripods (0f which I have two). It arrived very quickly just a couple of days after I ordered it.

Excellent, easy to use and superb quality.

I freelance as a local photojournalist and bought this as an alternative to the Nikon DSLR I usually use for short videos to accompany my photos. I was surprised by the quality of the video when compared with the Nikon (at first I used both as I wasn't sure of the Panasaonic would be good enough). But the biggest surprise was the quality of the shots at maximum zoom. I had considered getting a long telephoto lens for my Nikon for occasional wildlife photography. But the Panasonic does a great job of this. I also amaze friends by zooming in on a house which is just a speck in the distance. With the Panasonic at 90x it is possible to recognise people on the balcony.
