Perfect condition as described and well packaged. Arrived promptly. Only slight disappointment was the booklet missing. Minor detail and to be fair, it didn’t mention the booklet in the description. So my fault for assuming it was present, rather than asking. Many thanks

Good early Kazan film
Along with 'On the Waterfront', 'A Streetcar Named Desire' and 'Panic in the Streets', this film exemplifies Elia Kazan's craftsmanship as a filmmaker, highlighting as it does his skilled handling of actors, his deft use of locations and his nuanced eye for a good story. It also boasts a number of noteworthy performances from, among others, Dana Andrews, Lee J Cobb and, in an early role, Arthur Kennedy as the man on trial for allegedly killing the popular parish priest. Overall this is above average fare for its day, and has also robustly withstood the test of time with its entertaining treatment of potentially clichéd material.
