The original RC dune buggy.
The Grasshopper has changed very little from it's introduction back in the 80's. It is a VERY easy kit to build, fun to run with the motor out of the box and you will have a hard time finding another car that is this durable. There is a running joke that after the bombs drop, it is going to be just cockroaches riding around on Tamiya Grasshoppers at the end of the world. I like it enough to consider buying a second one. It's not a race car, but a ton of fun.

The original RC car with a wheelie bar.
I have wanted a 'Lunchbox' since I was a kid. It's not a 4x4, not a racer and definitely not going to pick up chicks. It is just a GREAT all around fun wheelie machine. It can run through most grass, gravels and sands and if you just put the $15 540 brushed sport motor upgrade on it - it will give you tons of wheelies on demand. There are tons of upgrades for this, but honestly I LOVE the bouncy suspension and the slower motor. When you put too much motor on it - you can't control it. The ONLY upgrade is the slightly better motor. Otherwise, you can jump, wheelie and power slide this for days. I have never heard of a lunchbox owner that was ever unhappy that they bought one.
