Jakar Lightweight Field Easel
1 of 1 found this helpful Far better than the cheap & flimsy steel easels which are superficially similar but only really useful as a display easel. Very good balance between strength and lightweight due to use of aluminium.
A cheaper product is available from a major art website which can accommodate a larger canvas or board but this comes at the disadvantage of slightly greater size, slightly greater weight, more flimsy carry bag and less elegant fittings to hold a canvas.
For my purposes the Jakar version was clearly the best choice. For someone using canvasses the £19-50 'I Love Art' version is a better choice.
Although more flexible, the extra cost of the Water-colour version of this Jakar easel seems hard to justify.
