My 2nd Panasonic Lumix this time for my daughter FAB!
2 of 2 found this helpful Very easy camera to use with great results. I bought one for myself in April 06,the FX01, when my daughter needed a camera I knew which to buy. The FX30 has some usefull updates mainly in the menus and mode selection. One of the great features is the wide angle (28mm equiv) Leica lens. It also has a useful 3 x zoom. Camera is very quick to start up and takes a picture as soon as it is powered up if you want it to. Large clear screen, robust metal case. Battery life is excellent from the lithium ion battery supplied and quick to charge up also.
