Powerful, creepy, thought-provoking.
Black & white film, loud music score, full of suspense and threat. Of it's time of course, no tvs or mobile phones, which adds to the overall effect. Robert Mitchum has such a powerful presence on screen, I would always recommend this film.

Simply wonderful.
I am following the series from the start, Laura Ingalls Wilder was out in the American frontier before it disappeared - the buffalo herds had been decimated, the native Indians were being relocated, and through her eyes and narrative it is an amazing step back to a lost time in history.
